65) Beast (2022)
After Master with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay again preferred to collaborate with current gen directors and collaborated with Nelson Dilipkumar for Beast. Since Nelson Dilipkumar’s previous films has created a huge impact among the audiences about the Dark comedy genre of films, after the announcement, Beast fans are eagerly awaited to witness how Vijay is going to suit in the dark comedy world of Nelson. Consequently, the film enjoyed a massive opening and became the highest grossing film of all time in Tamilnadu on its Day-1 at the time. However, the film wasn’t upto it’s expectations and ended up as an average performer at the box office.

66) Varisu (2023)
Varisu directed by Vamshi Paidipally marked the first bilingual film for Vijay in his entire career. This film clashed with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu in theatres for the 2023 Pongal. The Varisu vs Thunivu clash was one of the biggest clashes in the Kollywood industry and fans of both actors celebrated it like a festival. However, even though Thunivu enjoyed an edge in opening with the distribution of Red Giant Productions, Varisu easily took over the lead after the first weekend. Also, this film proved that Vijay has a huge family audience pull than any other actor in the industry. Meanwhile, despite the win in the clash, Varisu didn’t perform well at the box office as expected.

67) Leo (2023)
Since Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay collaborated once again after the huge success of Master and because of the massive hype for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU universe films, Leo has a huge pre release buzz that Kollywood has never witnessed. Consequently, despite the reviews, Leo has collected more than 140 crores on its Day-1 and became the highest grossing film of all time in Indian cinema at the time. If incase, Leo received a positive response, it could have easily became the first 1000 crores film of Kollywood. However, with the mixed reviews, it has collected more than 600 crores worldwide and Vijay flexed his stardom.

68) The Greatest of All Time (2024)
After, Azhagiya Tamil Magan Vijay once again acted in a double action role in this film GOAT directed by Venkat Prabhu. Since Venkat Prabhu had a bad reputation, the opening of GOAT wasn’t up to its expectations. Also, the film has received mixed responses from the audience. But, somehow the film has managed to collect more than 400 crores worldwide and became a successful venture at the box office.
Verdict: Hit
Vijay is one of the very few actors in Kollywood to has more success rate. His last film, Jana Nayagan directed by H Vinoth is going to hit the theatres soon. It remains to be seen whether it will also emerge as a huge success and the star will have a memorable farewell upon its release soon.
