According to the makers, the team faced a huge crisis days before the film hit theatres. The entire first half of the film was allegedly leaked. What makes it worse is the claim that someone from inside the unit shared the footage.
After getting hold of the leaked video, a group of blackmailers based in Chennai reportedly began threatening the producers. They allegedly demanded a huge amount of money and continued pressuring them until February. The situation became extremely tense.
The producers reportedly kept everything confidential. They feared that if news of the leak came out, it would damage the film’s business badly. At the same time, they were worried that the footage could surface online at any moment.
With pressure building from all sides, the team took a drastic step.
They decided to finish the remaining 20 days of shooting in just 7 days. The cast and crew reportedly worked day and night to wrap up the film quickly and push it to release before the leak could spread further.
This urgency also explains the unexpected date clash. Normally, when a hero has two films ready, producers avoid releasing them close to each other. But in this case, Vishnu Vinyasam was released even though Mrityunjay, another Sree Vishnu project, was scheduled around the same time. The team simply did not have the luxury of waiting.
