Worst fears come true: Film industry in fear AGAIN!

The split in the Telugu state, however opposed, was old news but it seems that it won’t be an easy one for those involved in the film making business in Tollywood. Now with the Telangana bill issue in parliament getting only bigger day by day, the film industry, where big ticket films have aggregated budget about 30-40 crores, seems to be very upset as the chances of a film garnering even its own costs are minimal after the split.

However, as per the sources, the whole thing has been put on hold for a while because of the rising situation, several films in future may get pushed indefinitely. If the partition occurs, there will be so much of unrest in the regions of Andhra Pradesh and it will have a major impact on movies slated to release in March and 2nd quarter.

Even now there are strikes and bandhs in the state on the word of the United Joint Action Committee to show that they are not in favor of the division. Sunil’s Bhimavaram Bullodu which was supposed to hit screens today pushed to an unknown date. However, this is the time for low budget films which usually face lack of theaters issue can take the advantage of the situation by releasing the film in just Telangana region.
