Actor Yash is preparing for his big screen comeback with Toxic: A Fairy-Tale for Grown-Ups. The action drama is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2026. The announcement has already created strong buzz among fans.
The biggest talking point is its direct clash with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar Part 2: Revenge. The sequel is expected to perform strongly after the impressive run of its first part. This box office face off has sparked industry wide discussions.
Despite early skepticism about the clash, trade experts remain confident about Toxic. Exhibitors across India are reportedly betting big on the film. Many believe the competition may actually increase curiosity among audiences.
Toxic also marks Yash’s return after the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. The long gap between releases is seen as an advantage. Exhibitors feel this break could boost audience excitement further.
Several industry insiders say Toxic is more than just another big release. It is viewed as the comeback of a star who reshaped the pan India box office with the KGF franchise. Expectations are naturally very high.
A report by India Today noted that exhibitor Satadeep Saha of SSR Cinemas, West Bengal, expressed confidence in the film’s prospects. He reportedly highlighted Yash’s strong appeal in the Hindi belt based on past performance.
Trade analyst and exhibitor Akshay Rathie also backed Yash’s nationwide popularity. He said the fandom that peaked during KGF 2 remains strong. According to him, Yash enjoys a cult like following across India.
Veteran exhibitor Manoj Desai of Gaiety Galaxy shared similar views. He emphasised that Yash’s track record in northern markets should not be underestimated. The festive Eid window is also expected to add to footfall.
Although Toxic will clash with the Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar. 2, anticipation remains high. Whether it recreates the Rocky Bhai storm or not is yet to be seen. For now, trade buzz suggests hopes of a powerful opening.
