New Day, New Excuse To Cry On Amaravati?

Amaravati capital development view

After facing a treacherous period between 2019 to 2024, Amaravati is finally revived by the India government, and it has in fact being approved as the solitary capital of the state by the Parliament this week.

While this is a development to cherish for the people of Andhra Pradesh, as they finally have a solid capital project in front of them, YCP is expectedly doing all it can to belittle the same.

Until recently, the party carried the narrative that there was extreme case of insider trading, that happened in Amaravati. But despite being a solid, five years, not a single verified establishment was made regarding this insider of trading.

And now that NDA has returned to power, a new campaign has been started by these political forces against Amaravati. They are publicly claiming that it will take 2 lakh crore to build the capital and saying that’s impossible, hence AP needs a new capital plan.

This appears to be the new strategy that YCP has cooked up to oppose the development of Amaravati and their argument is being ridiculed by certain intellectuals.

When M9 got in touch with a senior geopolitical expert, he commented that every major city across India requires additional financial allocation for infrastructure and maintenance even to this day. Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai active maintenance and expenditures, despite being metro cities.

If that is the case with some of the biggest city across India, then Amravati certainly requires adequate financial resources to be built from this state. At the end of the day, no city can be developed without financial allocations.

Once the infrastructure and living conditions are set on Metro city standards, Amaravati itself will start to regenerate the revenue back towards the state. This is how a capital works, he says.

It was further pointed out that Andhra Pradesh could perhaps be the only state where an entire political party is committed to destroy the reputation of the state’s own capital.
