The Congress party has announced its list of star campaigners for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls scheduled on November 6 and November 11. The 40-member list features top national leaders such as Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, and KC Venugopal.
What surprised political observers was the complete absence of any Telangana leaders, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. His omission has sparked discussion among party insiders and political analysts alike.
Reports suggest that the Congress avoided including Revanth Reddy to prevent potential backlash in Bihar. Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor had previously warned that the people of Bihar would reject Congress if it featured Revanth Reddy, recalling his controversial comment about the “DNA of labourers.”
Prashant Kishor had also vowed to ensure that Revanth Reddy loses in the 2028 elections. The recent decision by the Congress seems to indicate that Kishor’s warning worked — the party dropped Revanth Reddy from the Bihar campaign list without hesitation.
