In stark contrast to his first term, Telangana Chief Minister KCR is facing dissent in this term especially after getting the adverse result in the Parliament Elections. We have recently seen Eetela Rajendra raising his voice against the Chief Minister in the backdrop of rumors about the Chief Minister stripping him of a Ministry.
The dissent is not a stray incident as another Senior Leader, Rasamayi Balakrishnan also supported Eetela. Normally, KCR deals any such dissent with an iron fist, but the first time he did not try to deal with that and did not touch Eetela or his portfolio in yesterday’s Cabinet Expansion.
A day after that, another Senior Leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy also expressed his dissatisfaction on the Chief Minister. “I was refused a ticket in 2018 but KCR promised me a Cabinet Berth by making me an MLC. My Son-in-law was also promised an MLC. I do not need RTC Chairman. I worked as a Home Minister, how can I take a corporation chairman post?” he questioned.
“KCR is the head of our house. All of us are owners. The tenants who are temporary should decide how long they will be in the party,” Nayani said. This dissent from the leaders who led Telangana movement from the front is definitely alarming. Usually, the dissent comes out when the leaders feel the leadership is losing grip on the party and in the people. Are danger Bells ringing loud?
