The Election Commission of India withdrew the permission it has granted for the disbursement of Rythu Bandhu funds citing that the Model Code of Conduct is infringed.
Minister Harish Rao spoke about Rythu Bandhu in a Public meeting that infringes the rule – the Government leaders should not talk about Rythu Bandhu in a bid to draw political advantage. So, the EC has canceled the permission.
Harish Rao is not a political novice. He is a very experienced politician and is also famous as a troubleshooter for BRS.
How can someone like Harish Rao make a mistake that is so elementary? And that too with respect to an important scheme like Rythu Bandhu?
There are some people who say all this is intentionally done by the BRS.
“The Rythu Bandhu will cost 7,500 Crore but that amount is not available in the state treasury. The RBI will not even help at this moment. So, this is done to escape the disbursement,” they say.
There are some others who come up with a wild theory that Harish Rao did that intentionally to foil the chances of the BRS.
This is in connection to the theory that Harish is not happy about not getting enough chances in the BRS as KCR is promoting KTR.
Meanwhile, BRS is trying to throw the blame on Congress for this decision of EC even though the Election Commission clearly stated that it is due to Harish Rao’s violation.
We will have to see how this will impact the voting of the farmers on the 30th!
