Nara Lokesh delivered a fiery speech at the Super GST–Super Savings meeting near Nannuru in Kurnool. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “Namo,” Lokesh praised his boldness in launching Operation Sindoor. He said Modi showed the same resolve as Donald Trump when he imposed tariffs without backing down.
Lokesh quoted Balakrishna’s iconic dialogue from Legend — “Flutu jinka mundu voodu Simham mundu kaadu” — to describe Modi’s fearless spirit. The crowd erupted in cheers and whistles as Lokesh compared Namo’s determination to that of a lion facing no fear.
He said Modi’s decision to reduce GST proved his strength and goodwill. According to Lokesh, it is rare for governments to lower taxes, yet Namo did it, turning Dassera and Diwali into one grand festival of savings for the people.
Lokesh revealed that the Prime Minister was advised against reducing GST due to possible revenue loss. Still, Modi went ahead, thinking only about public welfare. Lokesh said this decision reflected true leadership focused on citizens rather than politics.
He also recalled how, after Modi’s announcement, state Finance Minister Keshav expressed concern over an estimated Rs 8,000 crore loss to the exchequer. Chandrababu Naidu, however, supported the move, saying it was acceptable since people would save the same amount.
Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh is now progressing rapidly under a “double engine bullet train government,” powered by Namo’s guidance and CBN’s vision. He added that the state’s growth reflects their combined leadership and dedication to public welfare.
