SM Discussion: Nara Lokesh’s Astonishing IT Reach!

Nara Lokesh meeting global tech leaders

IT Minister Nara Lokesh is currently touring the United States to attract foreign direct investment for Andhra Pradesh. He is focusing on emerging sectors like AI, semiconductors, data centers, quantum computing, green energy and cybersecurity.

This is Lokesh’s second US trip. In his first visit, he convinced Google to establish a 1 Giga Watt AI Hub in Vishakhapatnam with an investment of 15 Billion Dollars. Because of this success, many are watching this trip closely.

Over the last three days, Lokesh has been meeting top tech leaders and pitching Andhra Pradesh as a strong investment destination. He posted several tweets this morning with photos and details of these meetings.

He met senior executives from Google, Adobe, NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, Canva, Ohmium, Sales Force, Open AI, Rigetti Computing, ZScaler, Autodesk, OpsRamp, Celesta VC and many other companies. His pitch focused on future expansion opportunities in the state.

More than a dozen tweets were posted back to back. This flood of updates triggered discussion about the detailed planning behind the Minister’s trip and how well he is networked with global tech giants.

People noted that his meetings reflect his ambition to make Andhra Pradesh a major destination for investment and job creation. Many on social media compared this with the previous IT Minister in Jagan’s regime, who often made no impact and was known for strange Kodiguddu stories.

Many feel it is no exaggeration to call Lokesh the most agile IT Minister in the country today. After finishing his US tour, he travelled to Canada for interactions with the Punjabi-Telugu expat community in Toronto. He will return home after this visit.
