Nara Lokesh, TDP’s National General Secretary, has set a new record in his Padayatra by walking relentlessly for 12 hours. Normally, leaders start their padayatra in the morning and rest at a camp overnight before resuming the next morning. However, Lokesh achieved a remarkable feat by walking for 12 continuous hours despite experiencing shoulder pain on one side, leg discomfort from prolonged walking, and even as the date on the calendar changed.
Lokesh encountered a four-hour delay when his yatra began in Anantapur district. For two days, he continued walking until midnight in Anantapur. However, as his yatra reached Krishna district, the dynamics changed. In Vijayawada, his yatra was delayed by 8 hours. The primary reason for this was that the TDP focused its marathon predominantly on rural areas while overlooking urban zones.
Throughout his padayatra, Lokesh did not include any urban cities except for Nellore. Currently, he is marching through the heart of Vijayawada city, even on a public holiday. This decision garnered a tremendous response from the city’s residents. People from all age groups and backgrounds gathered on the streets to welcome the young leader, even during the early hours of the morning.
Starting from Vijayawada A Convention around 3:40 pm on Sunday, the march concluded at Nidamanur at 4 am on Monday. Lokesh interacted with waiting women and children, taking pictures with them. This event took place on the 189th day of the Yuvagalam Padayatra. Originally scheduled for a 16-kilometer route from Vijayawada A Convention to Nidamanur on Sunday, the progress was slower than anticipated due to the large crowds of people who joined along the way.
Particularly, a significant number of women gathered and eagerly posed for photos with Lokesh. Despite enduring bruises from the long journey, Lokesh continued with a smile. When the yatra reached the Poranki area, heavy rain fell, but the march persevered even in the rain. The walk concluded at 4 am after this arduous journey.
