There has been propaganda against Nara Lokesh that he is hiding in Delhi to prevent arrest. Lokesh has been camping in the National Capital for the last ten days discussing the legal options and strategies to bring Chandrababu out.
Now, that the issue has gone to the Supreme Court, Lokesh decided to concentrate on Politics.
He held a video conference with the important leaders in the party and told them that he was thinking along the lines of resuming his Yuvagalam Padayatra.
The exact date is not confirmed yet but will begin in the same spot where it halted. Lokesh was supposed to walk in Podhalada village of Razole constituency, East Godavari district when Chandrababu got arrested. The Padayatra will resume from there itself.
Lokesh will look to reach out to the people and explain how his father has been jailed for no reason and because of Political Vendetta. This decision may also have repercussions. The ruling party will do everything to stiffen his voice, including jailing him. But Lokesh is not worried.
On his part, this is a tough decision for Lokesh. His mind would be constantly thinking about Chandrababu while he should be focusing on meeting people and listening to them. There would be 100s of people around him all day not leaving time for him to think or worry in private.
But then, this decision will send a positive message to the people when the YSR Congress is busy with propaganda to show him as a coward.
With Chandrababu in jail and Lokesh busy in Delhi, only the leaders and cadre are taking forward the political activity. The void of proper leadership is clearly being felt. At this juncture, resuming Padyatra is a very good idea.
