Jagan @ Bengaluru Palace, Spreading Lies: Lokesh

Lokesh criticises Jagan over Montha relief

HRD Minister Nara Lokesh criticised YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, saying that during a crisis, any leader with compassion would step forward to help people. Instead, Jagan was reportedly resting at his Bengaluru residence while citizens struggled due to the Montha cyclone impact.

Lokesh accused Jagan of using his media network to spread false news. Sharing an update on X (formerly Twitter), Lokesh wrote that the government had taken all necessary steps to protect people at Kothapalli Zilla Parishad School in Kakinada. He added that all essentials were provided and urged citizens not to believe rumours.

“This is a people’s government,” Lokesh said, announcing a toll-free helpline (1800-425-0101) for those needing assistance during the cyclone aftermath.

The state administration has been on high alert to deal with Montha’s impact. Fortunately, the cyclone changed course, preventing large-scale damage.

Lokesh also pointed out that Jagan, who often demands recognition as the Leader of the Opposition, failed to return to Tadepalli or mobilise his party cadre to support affected families. “He chose to stay safe in Bengaluru instead of standing with the people,” Lokesh remarked.
