Nara Lokesh‘s Yuva Galam Padayatra is going on in the Tadipatri constituency. The other day, Lokesh had an interaction session with Minority Brothers and took questions from them on various issues.
One of them asked Lokesh how they would justify their decision to ally with BJP which is generally perceived as an anti-minority party. Normally, Lokesh had to skip the question or talk against the BJP.
But he came up with a really impressive and convincing answer.
“We are in alliance with BJP between 2014 and 2017. There is no denying it. But I am asking you if there were any attacks on you? or are there any insults on you? Even though there is an alliance with BJP, we gave Ramzan Tofa and funds by establishing a federation,” Lokesh said.
“We made Nagul Meera garu as Police Housing Board Chairman despite the alliance with BJP. In this government, there are attacks on Minorities. In Nandhyala, Abdul Salam and his family committed suicide due to YSR Congress leaders’ harassment. In Palamaneru, a girl Misbah committed suicide because she was given TC because the YSRCP leader’s daughter is getting second rank because Misbah is studying well,” he added.
“At the end of the day, TDP established a corporation like Minorities like no other government in the country. We sent three Minorities to Rajya Sabha and one to Lok Sabha. We constructed a Haj house in Hyderabad and gave subsidies to go to Haj,” Lokesh told.
The way he articulated the answer is very impressive. He did not skip the question nor admit allying with BJP was a mistake. He also indicated that TDP will not lose its secular color even if it allies with the BJP.
