No Ticket For Nani: Where Is Bezawada Politics Headed To?

No Ticket For Kesineni Nani

TDP MP Kesineni Nani announced that Chandrababu sent a message that he will not be getting a ticket in the next election.

“He also asked me not to interfere too much in party affairs and I will oblige to whatever the leader says,” Nani announced in a Facebook Post.

He also reiterated the same to the media in Kesineni Bhavan.

Nani is a strong candidate who won even in Jagan’s wave. He is a good performer as far as the constituency is concerned. But the problem is he is in a tussle with almost every leader in the district bringing headaches to the party every time.

The other day, he abused a Dalit leader who was made incharge of Chandrababu’s Tiruvur meeting which sparked strong reactions from the party’s Dalit leaders.

If Nani is the candidate, the group politics within the party may defeat him and so, Chandrababu Naidu took a stern decision.

For a long time, there have been rumors that he may be denied a ticket next time and his brother Kesineni Chinni will be the TDP candidate for 2024.

Another question is if Nani will still support TDP or work against his own party. There is a chance that he can move to some other party as well.

TDP can not afford to mess up with the Vijayawada Parliament which is a stronghold of the party. Party sympathizers are worried about what is happening.

YSR Congress is in a mess as far as this seat is concerned. In 2014 and 2019, the party was not able to field a candidate until the last minute and on both occasions, the choices proved to be ineffective.

There are rumors that the seat may be given to the BJP and Srujana Chowdary will be the candidate. But it is doubtful if the TDP will let go of such a crucial seat.
