Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to defeat Pawan Kalyan here at any cost as he thinks that will end his political career. We have already seen Jagan strategically defeat Pawan Kalyan from two constituencies in the 2019 elections.
One more election loss and Pawan Kalyan will never recover.
YSR Congress is evoking ‘Local vs. non-local’ sentiment in the constituency to defeat Pawan Kalyan.
“If Vanga Geetha wins, she will be locally available and accessible. If Pawan Kalyan wins, we have to take a Volvo bus and wait before studios in Hyderabad,” YSR Congress cadre is doing a campaign.
Usually ‘Local Vs Non-local’ campaigns proved to be very effective in the past.
But then, Pawan Kalyan will have a counter-strategy as well.
‘Local Vs Non-local’ is true for anyone except for influential politicians. Take the example of Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy, they are not accessible to the people of their constituencies. Nobody can complain they are not accessible.
But the constituencies represented by such big personalities will obviously get preferential treatment.
Pawan Kalyan will have a say if the TDP-Janasena Government comes and Pitapuram will get the preferential treatment. Pawan Kalyan should be vocal about the preferential treatment of YSR Congress’s ‘Local Vs Non-local’ strategy.
Pawan Kalyan did not have this advantage in 2019 as he did not have an alliance with TDP.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is all set to tour Pitapuram for the first time after the announcement. He will go there next week and sit with the local leaders right from the village level. He will also meet the local leaders of the Telugu Desam Party.
There are 91,000 Kapu voting in the constituency and also, with TDP’s support, Pawan Kalyan is inching towards the huge majority. Unless there is a complete failure in the campaign.
