TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu has focused his attention on Kadapa district and set a special goal to regain the former glory of TDP in Chief Minister Jagan’s own district. Before 2004, the TDP held significant strength in the united Kadapa district, winning a majority of seats. However, the party’s influence weakened after the 2004 elections.
Lokesh’s successful Yuvagalam padayatra in the district acted as a morale booster for TDP ranks. The large turnout at public meetings during the padayatra overwhelmed TDP leaders. The district has been showing strong opposition to Jagan’s government, and the TDP is making efforts to convert this sentiment into votes.
Following the conclusion of Lokesh’s padayatra, TDP’s election strategist Robin Sharma’s team is conducting a survey in the district. The survey compares the party’s position before and after the padayatra. Chandrababu and Lokesh have been emphasizing that ticket selection will be unbiased, and only winning candidates will be given tickets.
The Robin Sharma team is conducting a survey to identify candidates who have a positive image among the people. For some constituencies, such as Pulivendula and Jammalamadugu, candidates like BTech Ravi and Bhupesh Reddy have already been announced and finalized, respectively.
The survey is being carried out for Proddutur, Kadapa, Maidukuru, Badvelu, and Kamalapuram constituencies. TDP leadership aims to announce the candidates by Dussehra. As there are numerous aspirants seeking tickets, the survey will focus on selecting the most promising candidates for each constituency.
Only those who pass the survey will be considered for the tickets, despite many individuals attempting to secure them. The TDP’s keen interest in the survey reflects their determination to strategize effectively for the upcoming elections in Kadapa district.
