Even KCR Fears By-Election

Telangana Budget Session is currently on. Before the session, KTR in an interview announced that Former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao will be attending the Assembly and will even participate in the discussions.

KCR attended the Assembly for the Governor’s Address.

But then, he disappeared after that Address. The house is currently discussing the Budget and KCR is not seen anywhere.

A few days ago in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did something similar.

Jagan boycotted the house but attended the Governor’s Address to mark his attendance to escape the Disqualification.

Article 190(4) of the Constitution of India states that a member of a state’s legislature can be declared absent if they are absent from all meetings for a period of 60 days without permission.

It appears like KCR also made a similar attempt to escape disqualification.

A few days ago, CM Revanth Reddy slammed KCR in the house saying that KCR took ₹57,84,124 salary in 15 months but attended Assembly for two days. But KCR seems to be not bothered.

However, this attitude indicates that KCR fears disqualification.

This is really sad because KCR may be the only big leader to face maximum by-elections.

During the Agitation Period, whenever he felt the Agitation was slowing down, he would resign and go for a by-election. That way he always kept the Telangana Movement alive.

But now, he is giving the impression that he fears disqualification and by-election.

It may be reminded to our readers that KCR inthe 2023 Assembly elections contested from two seats – Gajwel and Kamareddy. He won from Gajwel but lost from Kamareddy.

But the only good thing about KCR when compared to Jagan is that he is allowing the other MLAs of the party to attend the house and face the Government.

BRS has good speakers in the form of KTR and Harish Rao.

In Andhra Pradesh, the entire contingent of YSR Congress MLAs is not attending the Assembly session.
