Breaking: First Big Arrest By CM Vijay, Who’s He?

Udhayanidhi Stalin legal case

It has been barely three months since Thalapathy Vijay took charge as the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu and he is already very strict with his measures. On one hand, he is balancing public policy making with shrewd action on his detractors.

Incidentally, chief minister Vijay was targeted at a personal capacity by the designated opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin yesterday as we had reported. In fact, he brought actress Trisha topic in this discussion just to humiliate Vijay.

So the legal consequences were always expected to be pretty imposing, and the same is happening now.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has been booked by the Thanjavur Town East Police in FIR No. 287/2026 under Sections 196, 192, 352, 79, 296(b), 61 and 351(2) of the BNS, Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

The opposition letter was detained by Chennai police earlier today, and he is currently facing the legal consequence. The anticipatory bail is currently posted for a hearing at the Madras High Court and the verdict is expected to be delivered this afternoon.

Interestingly, the young politician was seen with a bright smile on his face while he was being detained by the Chennai police. He appears to be seeing this as a political opportunity to enhance his image.
