After the Vijay TVK Party’s second public conference in Madurai on August 21st, controversy and backlash have surfaced across social media.
A man named Sarathkumar from Perambalur has filed a police complaint against actor and TVK leader Vijay. He alleged that he was manhandled during the Madurai event.
As per the complaint, bouncers reportedly threw Sarathkumar off the stage when he tried to climb onto it. The incident happened during the main session of the conference.
Based on this complaint, the Kunnam police have registered a case against Vijay under three sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Vijay’s fans have taken to social media, calling the complaint baseless. They argue that Sarathkumar violated stage protocols and that the bouncers were only doing their job.
Some users online have alleged that the complaint might have political motives. They suggest that DMK and BJP supporters could be trying to weaken TVK after the success of the event.
Meanwhile, the news has gone viral on social platforms. People across Tamil Nadu are actively sharing their opinions about the issue.
