The IT and Electronics and Communications Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh, sat down with potential investors from the USA and other countries at the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum and discussed various issues, from investments to the recent floods.
The thing with Lokesh is he never comes across as a typical politician; he admits certain things where they could do better and provides assurance to learn where they need to, unlike regular politicians who never admit a single mistake of theirs, no matter what.
Breaking this political cliché is not easy; the Western education is what makes him different.
Lokesh assured that he brought in a young IAS officer to lead the Economic Development Board, headed by a young IAS officer, and the team is from the private sector, with veterans who understand the importance of the ‘speed’ of doing business.
For anyone who watches Lokesh’s speech, the immediate thing that comes to mind is: can former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ever speak like this, or can he even talk half as well as Lokesh did?
