Vijayasai Reddy called for a Pressmeet in Vishakapatnam due to allegations against him in connection with a female employee in the Endowment Department.
While the Prime focus of the Pressmeet is to bash the media that telecast this news, Sai Reddy also attacked a section of leaders in his own party.
At least three times in his Pressmeet, Sai Reddy mentioned some YSR Congress leaders joining TDP to malign his character.
Now, the big question is who is that targeting Sai Reddy?
Once upon a time, Sai Reddy was the Number Two in YSR Congress but things changed in the last few years. Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy replaced his position.
And there are attempts to downsize Sai Reddy in the party. We have seen him move out of Vishakapatnam and Jagan’s close coterie.
Once upon a time, Sai Reddy used to head the YSR Congress’ organization setup and the party’s social media.
Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy took over the party and his son, Sajjala Bhargava the party’s social media wings.
Previously there were allegations of land-grabbing and other illegal activities on Sai Reddy in Vizag. The Rajya Sabha MP believes it is the work of Sajjala.
Sai Reddy also believes Sajjala prevailed over Jagan to make him contest from Nellore Parliament and face his first electoral defeat. Sai Reddy reluctantly contested from Nellore and ended up with a humiliating defeat.
After the elections, there were coordinated attempts in Blue Media trying to make Sajjala and his son the reason for the party’s defeat.
We have seen stories of Bhargava misusing the party’s funds in some select Blue Media publications.
There is a belief in the party that Sai Reddy planted this News against Sajjala to make use of the cadre’s ire.
And then, as a retaliation, the party leaders say Sajjala’s group planted this new controversy against Sai Reddy. However, intelligently the news was planted in Pro-TDP media channels.
Sai Reddy dropped hints in the Presser but did not go into details as his anger is more channelized on Maha TV Vamsi today.
This Sajjala Vs Sai Reddy rift in the party is going to split the party vertically now.
This is only more trouble for the YSR Congress which is already struggling due to the recent defeat.
