AP Cabinet Minister Nara Lokesh set the legislative council on fire today with powerful, emotional statements. He questioned why he should stay silent when his mother was insulted in the assembly.
A verbal clash erupted between TDP and YCP MLCs at the council today. Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy accused YCP MLAs of running away from assembly sessions. His statements made YCP MLCs furious, and they were quick to say that it was actually Chandrababu who ran away the assembly when YCP was in power.

Lokesh fumed at these remarks and said that Chandrababu Naidu had fought against the former government in the assembly for two years. He said that it was the YCP MLAs who insulted his mother in the assembly and that was when Chandrababu Naidu made a challenge and left the assembly.
Lokesh also reminded YCP leaders that although Chandrababu Naidu didn’t attend the assembly, TDP leaders still participated in the sessions. He questioned why other YCP MLAs are not doing the same.

“Even now, YCP leaders share offensive posts about TDP leaders. We could also do that, but we have never insulted Jagan’s family. We have never spoken a word against his family members,” he said.
“Don’t you remember how your leaders insulted my mother? Why didn’t Jagan speak against them? Why did he give tickets to leaders who insulted my mother?” Lokesh questioned.
