Yeddyurappa has announced his resignation as the Chief Minister before taking the Floor Test a few days ago giving way for the coalition government of Congress and JDS. He has led his MLAs to walk out ahead of Kumaraswamy’s Trust Vote today.

In both the cases, Yeddyurappa was aware that the result will not be to his liking. Since BJP has walked out without even showing how many supporters they have, it can be safely assumed that Kumaraswamy has won the confidence vote.
BJP is struggling to come to terms with the fact that it has lost Karnataka which should be its Gateway to the South. But then, things happened to be different. They will be now hoping for Congress and JDS to fight among themselves and let the government fall.
