Nara Lokesh, the son of Chandrababu Naidu, has taken on the responsibility of leading the TDP in the absence of his father, who is currently in prison. Lokesh has been actively engaging with national media outlets, including appearing on popular shows like Republic TV with Arnab Goswami.
His appearances on these platforms have received positive feedback for his confident handling of questions, even in the face of adversarial questioning. These media interactions, particularly his discussion with Arnab Goswami, have been seen as a turning point in Lokesh’s political career.
Many people, including TDP cadre, have expressed that they may have misunderstood Lokesh in the past, and his recent performances have changed their perception of him. Additionally, there has been a growing sense of solidarity across states where Telugu-speaking people reside, expressing support for Chandrababu Naidu following his arrest.
Surprisingly, even some YSRCP MLAs, MPs, and a government minister reportedly reached out to Lokesh to apologize for the illegal arrest of CBN. While there is no confirmation, it is suggested that YS Sharmila may have also made a call to Lokesh in this regard.
These developments indicate a shift in sentiment and a broader show of support for the TDP leader during this challenging time.
