YSR Congress is organizing Job Melas in a few towns of Andhra Pradesh and the first one started in Tirupati the other day.
Vijaysai Reddy has personally supervised the Mela which has seen 15,750 aspirants attending. At the end of the first day, Sai Reddy made tall claims of 4,784 candidates getting jobs.
But according to a report in a prominent English Newspaper, the job mela has been a damp squib. Even though the attendance is huge, the MNC companies, the party claimed would come are not in the mela.
Very few big companies that attended only selected a handful of candidates. Some companies did not take interviews but only asked the candidates to leave after submitting their resumes.
“We will get back to you on Monday,” they said much to the disappointment of the aspirants.
The report also said most of the companies offered white-collar jobs like security guards, helpers, and sales jobs.
Most candidates who came from other districts were disappointed after coming all the way to Tirupati. “Forget about getting jobs, we do not have jobs suiting our qualifications,” they say going back with disappointment.
In contrast, Vijaysai Reddy was making claims on Twitter as if these job melas changed the face of Andhra Pradesh.
