An attempt at human trafficking was stopped at the IGI Airport in New Delhi, leading to several arrests by the Delhi Airport Police.
Immigration officials found the document of a passenger, Diljot Singh, to be doubtful and refused him to board the flight. But, instead of approaching the airline staff, Diljot, went to an AISATS staffer which led to increased suspicion.
In a joint operation of CISF and Delhi Airport Security, four Air India SATS staffers and one passenger were arrested.
This is not the first time that an incident of human trafficking was stopped at an Airport. Another incident had occurred just a few days ago, where a flight bound for Nicaragua was grounded in France for days over the suspicion of the same.
Airports are the places with the highest grade of security available to the public. Still, many try to go ahead of their limits and test the level of security.
