Reports say an ultra luxury high rise apartment tower is planned for the site. Auro Realty recently raised Rs 2000 crore for its realty fund and is using part of the amount for this purchase and project development.

Taj Banjara was famous for its patthar ka gosht and also housed one of Hyderabad’s earliest pubs, Under Deck. It was a popular spot for many during its peak years.

Auro Realty belongs to the Aurobindo Group, which also owns Aurobindo Pharma. The company has not officially revealed its full plans for the property yet.

Banjara Hills remains an upscale area with rising realty value. According to Cushman and Wakefield, prices increased by 8 percent in 2025, with rates ranging from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 per sq ft.
