Hospital’s Coma Scam to Extort Lakhs from Family

Madhya Pradesh Hospital Money Extortion Scam

A shocking incident has come to light in Madhya Pradesh, where a private hospital allegedly induced an artificial coma in a patient to extort money from his family.

The patient, Bunty Ninama, had been injured in a fight near a local police station and was first treated at a government hospital.

His family later shifted him to the private facility, where they claim they were asked to pay ₹100,000 for his treatment an astronomical jump from the ₹8,000 bill estimated at the government hospital.

According to reports, Bunty’s family managed to pay ₹40,000 before growing suspicious about the hospital’s claims.

A viral video added fuel to the controversy, showing Bunty partially undressed and still attached to medical tubes, insisting he was conscious and that the hospital was faking his coma to demand higher payments.

The video triggered public outrage and caught the attention of the Madhya Pradesh health department. Officials have now asked the private hospital to submit all billing records and treatment estimates.

They are also collecting statements from Bunty’s family and the government hospital to compare the expected costs of care.

This incident raises serious questions about patient safety and unethical practices in private healthcare.

Authorities have promised strict action if wrongdoing is confirmed, while the case highlights the urgent need for stronger oversight to prevent exploitation of vulnerable patients.
