A father who was expected to protect his daughter became the biggest villain in her life. He killed her for his selfish motive without hesitation. The shocking incident has disturbed many people.
The murder came to light in Nizamabad district. According to police, Panduranga was a resident of Kerur village in Mukhed taluq of Nanded district. He was planning to contest in the panchayat elections in Maharashtra.
As per election rules, candidates with three children are not eligible to contest. To overcome this, Panduranga reportedly planned the crime. He took his six-year-old daughter Prachi on a bike and threw her into a canal near the ARP camp in Edapalli mandal, Nizamabad district.
Local residents found the body in the canal and informed the police. The police retrieved the body and began an investigation. They later confirmed that the father himself was responsible for the murder.
Along with Panduranga, the police also arrested Ganesh Shinde for helping in the crime. The Nizamabad police said they seized the bike used in the incident and three mobile phones. The case has caused widespread outrage.
