A shocking murder case has been reported from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. A flat owner was brutally killed by a tenant couple after she visited their flat to collect pending rent.
The woman had rented her flat to Ajay Gupta and Akriti Gupta. The couple had reportedly not paid rent for several months, which led to tension between them.
When the flat owner arrived to demand the dues, an argument broke out. According to the police, the confrontation soon turned violent and resulted in her death.
Investigators revealed that the victim was strangled. In a video that surfaced later, the accused couple can be heard crying and admitting to killing the flat owner.
After the murder, Ajay Gupta and Akriti Gupta allegedly tried to hide the crime. They placed the body inside a suitcase and attempted to take it out of the housing society.
Their suspicious behaviour caught the attention of neighbours and the woman’s helper. They immediately alerted the police, who reached the spot without delay.
Both accused were arrested on the spot. A case has been registered, and further investigation is currently underway.
The incident has left residents of the housing society shocked. It has also raised serious concerns about safety and trust within residential communities.
