A heated debate is currently trending on social media following a war of words involving supporters of Anvesh, Garikipati, and actor Sivaji. The controversy began after Anvesh criticised comments made by Sivaji and Garikipati about women.
Anvesh also referred to mythological women Sita and Draupadi during his remarks. This triggered strong backlash from Telugu audiences, leading many to unsubscribe from his channel and unfollow him on social media platforms.
After facing intense criticism, Anvesh attempted damage control. He stated that Gods appeared in his dream and asked him to fight for social causes, particularly issues related to women.
Amid this backlash, atheist and Big Boss contestant Babu Gogineni came out in support of Anvesh. Gogineni said that Anvesh had already apologised and clarified his statements.
Gogineni added that legal action against Anvesh, who is currently abroad, should be left to lawyers. He said public outrage alone should not decide legal outcomes.
Babu Gogineni strongly criticised Garikipati for comments suggesting he could not control himself after seeing women despite being over 50. Gogineni called such remarks cheap and unacceptable.
He further stated that Anvesh’s criticism of Garikapati was justified. However, Gogineni also advised Anvesh to control his language, especially during emotionally charged situations.
Gogineni said that when public anger is high, words must be chosen carefully. He stressed that restraint is essential while addressing sensitive issues.
He also recalled an incident from his time in Big Boss. Gogineni said that two to three women approached him, alleging that a fellow contestant touched them inappropriately on multiple occasions.
Gogineni said he would not reveal the individual’s name. He added that the person concerned should come forward publicly and confess to his behaviour.
