Everywhere you go in such places, you will find groups of goons—often drunk, playing loud music, driving rashly and always ready to fight.
They cut corners, shout abuses and have no regard for locals or other tourists who want to enjoy nature without chaos.

These behaviors create an atmosphere of fear and discomfort and scare away families who want to enjoy nature’s beauty without the noise.
Police in Ranipokhri acted fast and arrested nine people and seized both the vehicles. While this is good, it only addresses the symptoms not the root cause.

The root cause is a culture of impunity and disrespect for law and order.
Till there is a collective effort from police, local communities and society to reject and punish such behavior, tourist places will continue to lose their charm and safety.
