Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has recently been under fire due to a video of him talking to former MI Bowling coach Zaheer Khan.
The video features Rohit, Rishabh Pant, and Zaheer Khan, where Rohit and Zaheer seem deep in conversation while Rishabh comes and hugs Rohit from behind.
During the conversation, Rohit Sharma can be heard making some statements regarding his contribution to the Mumbai Indians.
He said, “Jo sab karna tha maine kiya barabar se, ab mereko kuch karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. (I did whatever was needed of me. Now I don’t need to do anything more.)”
This one line alone has led to a massive fire among MI’s fanbase, who have begun to question Rohit’s loyalty towards the team as a batter.
While nothing can be said with full certainty without knowing the situation’s complete context, the fact that this video was posted and later deleted by the MI management does reflect something fishy at the core.
With MI’s next match scheduled against RCB on April 7th, it will be interesting to see if Rohit Sharma finally manages to find his form or if he continues to disappoint his ardent fanbase who call him ‘Mumbai’s King’.
