Kollywood actor Vimal, known for his performances in the web series Vilangu and the film Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, has been sentenced to one year in prison in a bounced cheque case.
Although Vimal is still struggling to deliver an impact with his acting performance, he has earned a huge fan base for his fun-filled speeches in interviews and events.
However, according to reports, actor Vimal took funds from a popular Kollywood producer named Gopi to produce one of his previous films, Mannar Vagaiyara, released in 2018. When he returned the amount through a cheque, it bounced. Consequently, the actor was sentenced to one year in prison.
At the same time, the judge who heard this case has put the punishment on hold for 1 month, allowing the actor to file an appeal against the one-year prison sentence.
In response to this news, many Kollywood fans were shocked and are suggesting that Vimal would not have done this. They claim that the actor is very innocent in nature and there might be some other problem behind it.
Ultimately, this news has now gone viral on social media and it remains to be seen how Vimal is going to handle this case legally, whether he will resolve this issue smoothly or face a lot of trouble in the future.
