Delta Airlines has come under fire for allegedly overcharging a passenger who took to social media to narrate his horrible experience. The flyer claims he was charged twice for a flight, promised a refund in writing, and then told, it never happened.
Providing details, the person wrote that after booking a one-way flight for $1,800, they decided to reschedule. The new flight was cheaper with a price of $1,000—so they expected an $800 refund.

Talking to the customer service rep, they said he couldn’t just refund the $800 fare difference but offered a workaround—cancel the $1,800 ticket, get a full refund, and rebook the new $1,000 flight.
The passenger agreed and booked the new ticket. So now the flyer was charged $2,800 in total, expecting the $1,800 to come back.

But then things took a turn. Another Delta rep jumped in, said the previous guy messed up, and reportedly promised two refunds: the $1,000 for the new flight and the $800 price difference.
But despite the promise, only $800 was received. When he tried to contact Delta again they are now allegedly claiming there was only one charge, not two.

Even after the passenger showed screenshots of their bank statement, customer service reportedly brushed it off and claimed no double charge happened.
Now, the person is demanding action as Delta allegedly owes him $1000. People are disappointed as the passenger claims that the US airline is even refusing to own it up now.
