Telangana students are gearing up to embark on a transformative academic journey with integrated double degree programs at prestigious American universities. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH), is spearheading this initiative, offering five cutting-edge BTech + Masters programs in aerospace engineering, cybersecurity, and computer science. The program structure entails three years at JNTUH, followed by two years in the United States, in collaboration with institutions such as the University of Alabama and Stevens Institute of Technology.
With only 10-15 seats available for each program, admissions will be highly competitive, based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMC-ET) scores. JNTUH Registrar, Manzoor Hussain, emphasized the success of previous global collaborations, citing the benefits for students in selecting top-notch universities.
For instance, the University of Alabama’s expertise in aviation-related courses presents an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring aerospace engineers. The move not only broadens students’ horizons but also aligns with global industry demands.
The stringent admission criteria, requiring a minimum of 70% marks in the qualifying examination, underscore JNTUH’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence. Telangana’s foray into this pioneering venture not only empowers its students but also reinforces the region’s position as a hub for innovative education initiatives.
