Known for being picky with his projects, this might be Aamir’s most ambitious project to date.

Many speculate the reason behind this change could be Aamir’s physique and height.
If Aamir indeed plans on stepping into Krishna’s role, one can expect he will undergo deep preparation—possibly spiritual, physical, and philosophical.

Earlier, Aamir had also said that he would be choosing the best fit for roles, making no compromises.
Previously, with Laapataa Ladies, we saw him auditioning for the police officer’s role, but it was later given to Ravi Kishan as he was more befitting.
If this is the case, why did he let go of Karna’s role? Will he be willing to do the same now that he has the audience expecting him as Krishna?
Sources claim that Aamir is not only involved in this project as an actor but also as a producer—possibly steering the creative direction and writing.
Aamir’s filmography so far consists of socially driven dramas (Taare Zameen Par), mass entertainers (Dangal), and experimental passion projects (Laapataa Ladies). Mythological fiction is uncharted territory for him.
With an audience that’s so deeply connected to its religious epics, a portrayal that strays too far from traditional expectations might cause trouble.
If done well, this could earn him a lot of recognition for attempting something so bold and culturally significant.
Aamir also has Sitaare Zameen Par releasing next month, after which he’s expected to immediately start working on the next one.
Whether as Karna or Krishna, there is now no doubt: Aamir has everyone’s attention.
