Can Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Alpha save the Spyverse after the massive box office failure of War 2? Fans were highly excited about War 2, especially with Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani leading the cast. However, the film failed to meet expectations.
Despite a massive ₹400 crore budget, War 2 managed to earn only ₹199 crore in its first week and is struggling to cross ₹200 crore. It has become the lowest-grossing film in the Spyverse franchise.
The first War film, made on a ₹150 crore budget, earned ₹238.35 crore in its first week and ₹318.01 crore in total. Pathaan, released before War 2, collected ₹364.15 crore in week one and ₹543.09 crore overall on a ₹240 crore budget.
Even Tiger 3, considered the weakest entry, grossed ₹187.65 crore in its first week and ₹282.79 crore overall on a ₹300 crore budget. Compared to these numbers, War 2 has performed poorly and disappointed audiences.
Fans are now pinning their hopes on Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt. The film is said to offer a fresh and unique concept, and many believe it could revive the Spyverse franchise.
Can Alia deliver the much-needed turnaround? Only time will tell.
