Dhadak 2 is grabbing a lot of attention before its release as the makers are not aiming to postpone the film to another date. The decision has earned a lot of praise, specifically at a time when Saiyaara is trending everywhere and Son of Sardaar 2 is also releasing on August 1, 2025, with Dhadak 2.
Produced by Karan Johar, the makers of the film are undoubtedly showing confidence in its content. Notably, one of the singles, Bas Ek Dhadak, has already turned out to be popular on YouTube.
Despite being a remake, the trailer has still received a positive response from a certain section of the audience. Even if the opening will not be up to the mark, the film is expected to witness a boost in case the storyline and performances leave a positive impact.
At a time when big stars like Ajay Devgn have postponed their film to another date, fearing the impact of Saiyaara, Dhadak 2, featuring modern generation actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is not displaying any signs of being scared of other releases.
Although Son of Sardaar 2 is also a sequel to a superhit film, the promotional material has not made enough impact compared to Dhadak 2. The trailer of SOS 2 has also received a mixed reaction as majority of people have claimed on social media that the comedy is not making them laugh.
For now, the good thing is that both films will arrive around two weeks after Saiyaara. While Dhadak 2’s promotional material has been better than SOS 2, the latter should also not be underestimated at the same time, since the content will decide the fate of both films at the box office.
Two weeks after Dhadak 2 and SOS 2, another big-budget sequel, War 2, is also getting released in theatres. Now it remains to be seen if Dhadak 2 and SOS 2 will manage to recover their budget and earn the verdict of semi-hit or a decent success by the end of their theatrical run.
