Kangana Ranaut Emergency Disaster

Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ has finally hit the theatres and is generating mixed reviews from both the public and the critics.

While Kangana’s performance as an actor in the film has been commendable, owing to her on-point expressions and excellent voice modulation, the direction is where it all goes to fire.

The film is being criticised for its poor direction, making its overall impact underwhelming at best. Many key scenes of significant historical importance have been cut short or turned into musicals, doing an injustice to the weight they carry.

The supporting cast around Kangana also fails to deliver, with most performances being forgettable.

There are some positives, however, with Sanjay Gandhi’s portrayal being one of them. His depiction as a dictator-like figure has been deemed ‘bold’ by many among the audience.

In short, while one may like some individual performances, the overall narrative and direction highly disappoint, leading to a huge deterioration in the experience.
