Ahead of the television premiere of Housefull 5, the film’s cast appeared in an interview where they discussed what Housefull 6 could be about. The conversation turned hilarious, with each actor pitching a completely different idea for the next installment.
Riteish Deshmukh suggested that the next film should be a horror comedy. He joked that it could feature ghosts and even teased that the actresses appearing without makeup would add to the horror element.
Akshay Kumar then added his own twist, saying that all the lead characters should die in the next film. He imagined a plot where everyone ends up stuck between heaven and hell — both being “houseful.” His idea left everyone laughing.
Abhishek Bachchan pitched a superhero concept where all the main characters get superpowers. The actresses in the cast also supported the superhero idea, saying it sounded the most entertaining.
Their playful exchange sparked a debate online. Fans began suggesting their own ideas for Housefull 6. Some said a zombie comedy could be fun, but only if Sajid Khan returns to direct and the current writer steps aside.
Many fans agreed with Riteish that a horror comedy within the Housefull universe could bring back the franchise’s charm. Others, however, questioned the idea of another sequel so soon after Housefull 5’s poor box office performance.
Some argued that the series has always worked best as a rom-com and that experimenting with too many genres has diluted its appeal. They believe the makers should focus on improving the writing and concept instead of constantly rebooting the formula.
The discussion has left fans divided. While some are ready for Housefull 6, others feel the franchise needs a creative reset before returning to the big screen. Whether the makers take the risk again remains to be seen.
