An instance from Mallika Sherawat’s interview from a few months ago is going viral on social media. She appeared in an awkward themed interview for Netflix with Aishwarya Mohanraj.
The show is famously known for creating awkward scenarios between the host and guests to generate humour. Mallika brought her savage humour to the floor and it had fans rolling on the ground but some couldn’t process her independent thinking and confidence.
Amongst many jokes, Mallika also joked about marriage. She asked Aishwarya to show her wedding ring and compared it with the ring she had brought for herself which was clearly more expensive.
She joked about how she is not interested in men and knows how to keep herself happy. Though some of her jokes in the past have been over the top and vulgar, she was just following the show’s theme in this given interview.
But trolls were not smart enough to understand that this was all staged. They jumped with all kinds of derogatory remarks on her, calling her a “B-grade actress”, who is only used for her body and what not.
They shamed her by saying nobody loves her, that’s why she pretends to not like marriage. Fans jumped to her support and said clearly misogynist trolls cannot fathom the success and independence of a woman, that’s why they are targeting her.
Clearly, if the trolls had a life, they wouldn’t be bothering an actress for her personal choices.
