Manoj Bajpayee and Ram Gopal Varma are all collaborating for a new film after almost 25 years. Notably, the duo delivered some of the most memorable films during the ‘90s, including Satya, Kaun, and Shool.
This time, RGV is returning to the horror genre with a film titled Police Station Mein Bhoot. The basic premise will focus on a police officer, played by Manoj, who is possessed by the spirit of a gangster. The gangster is the same person who has been killed by the cop.
An insider has confirmed that filming for Police Station Mein Bhoot is starting from July 26 this month in Hyderabad. A bungalow has been selected for the filming process and it has been changed into a police station.
Moreover, RGV has created a powerful script that will bring the best out of Manoj, where he will be possessed by the gangster, and the police station will turn into a haunted place. Apart from him, Genelia Deshmukh and Rajpal Yadav are also playing important roles.
Following the shoot at the Hyderabad bungalow, the entire unit will continue filming at other locations in the South, and the details of the same shall be revealed soon. RGV is also aiming to complete the film by the end of 2026.
RGV used to be one of the most talented filmmakers. People still remember a few of his films and they love to watch them again and again. But with time, RGV’s content became disappointing and although people know that RGV exists today, they are hardly interested to watch his films.
As mentioned, RGV and Manoj’s collaboration has always delivered the best results. Moreover, the former proved his expertise in making horror films many years ago with Bhoot, which had Ajay Devgn and Urmila Matondkar.
The premise of Police Station Mein Bhoot looks interesting. But the biggest question right now is whether RGV will be able to provide commercial entertainment with the film. Moreover, the film needs to offer spine-chilling horror to become a big hit.
Although Manoj Bajpayee has attracted millions of people on OTT with his performance on The Family Man, it remains to be seen if the same thing will happen for his solo film that is being released directly on the big screen.
