No Entry Sequel

No Entry-2005 was a huge commercial success and became the year’s highest grosser. It was funny, and it boasted some fantastic music, even better than the one in the original film.

Despite being a remake of a Telugu film. The film was lapped up and did well over satellite TV but had a decent recall value based on memorable performance by Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan, which gives it the rank of being defined as one comedy of its sort.

With No Entry 2 coming up, expectations are low. Anees Bazmee is directing and Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor are the new stars.

Absence of the original stars especially Salman and Anil is a concern whether the new cast can match the old charm. The film is in pre-production and recce is planned in Greece.

The change in cast has raised many eyebrows. Varun has comedy experience, Arjun’s career has been patchy and Diljit’s comedy skills are untested on such a big scale.

The original film’s magic is hard to recreate especially without the star power of the leads.

Anees Bazmee was a comedy specialist but now seems old school. His recent films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have been lacking in new ideas.

Now with No Entry 2, the pressure is on him to bring something new but it’s not clear if he can.Big task ahead. New cast, and low expectations.
