The advice might sound vague, but Bollywood had to let go of many talented actors simply because they failed to generate the same buzz as their star-maker films.

Pratiek Babbar, son of legendary actress Smita Patil, was an instant hit in Bollywood following Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. His role in Hosanna instantly caught everyone’s attention, and many had expected he had the potential to be Bollywood’s next big star.
Unfortunately, he took a break from acting after 2012 due to his addiction and substance abuse. Pratiek has shared his struggles within the industry and the problems with stardom in many interviews recently. Sadly, his comeback to Bollywood so far has only been in typecast roles as a manic villain.

Darsheel Safary had shocked the entire industry with his performance in Taare Zameen Par. His stardom was at its peak in 2007, and he was offered almost every child role right after.
After doing Bumm Bumm Bole and Zokkomon, Darsheel decided to focus on completing his education before venturing into the film industry. He has recently made a comeback, but his roles remain limited to OTT series with no notable buzz or performances in sight.

Even though Sara Ali Khan is bagging a lot of films lately, there’s no buzz solely around her. Her role in Kedarnath was considered a breath of fresh air by many, but Sara has failed to recreate that magic at large.

These actors were the promised “next big stars” of Bollywood but sadly failed to live up to their own hype. The list also includes names like Omi Vedya, Amisha Patel, Arjun Kapoor, Imran Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
It’s true that nobody can guess what the future holds for them, but the potential of these stars always makes everyone wonder what Bollywood could’ve been if they had actually made it.
