Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is all set to hit theatres next year, and filming is going on without any interruptions right now. Notably, the Chief Innovation Officer of Metaphysic, Jo Plaete, has recently opened up on what audiences can expect from the upcoming magnum opus.
For all those who are unaware of it, Metaphysic is an AI company acquired by DNEG earlier this year. DNEG is the same company currently working on Ramayana.
A video of Jo speaking at the TE Con 2025 is going viral on social media, where he said that Ramayana is being made on the scale of The Lord of the Rings. He further stated that the film will be a “key showcase” of everything where DNEG is currently involved.
Plaete also mentioned that Ramayana is going to be a fantastic film that has all the elements to emerge as a big blockbuster.
Apart from Jo’s interview, there is another update about the film related to the first asset. It is reported to be an introduction to the world of Ramayana created by Nitesh Tiwari, and it will be released on July 3, 2025.
The event is being organized at a South Mumbai-based multiplex, and further updates are currently awaited on whether the main case members will be participating in the launch. The team has already prepared a teaser and it is expected to come out on some other day.
Ramayana is undoubtedly being made on a grand scale without any compromises. The current updates have proved that there is proper cooperation going on between the director and the lead cast, and if this continues, the film will arrive at the date that has been fixed for both the parts.
Although the makers are aiming not to repeat the mistake of Adipurush, the first introduction arriving a few days later will immediately decide the fate of the film in terms of public response and box office numbers. Let’s wait for the arrival of the first glimpse.
