After the success of Stree 2 and Munjya, Maddock Films recently revealed a lineup of their upcoming film in the genre.
After the success of such films at the box office, the horror comedy genre has gained momentum and actors are rushing to grab projects of this cinematic universe by Maddock Films.
While actors are actively seeking out roles in this genre, the production house is also keen on finding the best actors for their vision to come to life.
They approached Shah Rukh Khan for their project Chamunda, a pivotal film in the Maddock horror-comedy inverse.
However, SRK declined the offer, saying he didn’t want to join an already-established cinematic universe.
Rumours say that this priority project is going to be directed by Amar Kaushik and will star Alia Bhatt. They were eager to collaborate with King Khan but it did not materialize.
While the actor denied being a part of the already-established universe, he did express his interest in starting a fresh project with Maddock and Amar Kaushik.
He reportedly asked them to suggest a unique concept in an unexplored genre, leaving the makers exploring other options for Chamunda.
Some fans are glad that SRK doesn’t want to follow the trend and work on something of his own. It is a bold move by him to not follow the patterns, and take a different route.
Meanwhile, some fans are disappointed as they would have loved to watch him as the protagonist of a horror comedy film.
It will be interesting to watch who the makers are going to approach for Chamunda next.
