These days the entire film gets leaked in the public domain even before its release. In the recent past, Salman Khan’s Sikandar had to face the brunt of this creative theft and piracy of films has scared the filmmakers a lot.
Ahead of R.S. Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par starring Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza on 20 June the makers have already started taking precautions against this by legal aids. Aamir is also the producer of the film and he can be seen urging people from different platforms to not spoil the film by watching pirated versions.
He stated that a lot of hard work has gone into the film by the director, actors and entire crew which needs to be respected. He even shared an uncanny comparison and said that just like stealing a TV is a crime, the same is the case with stealing movies you watch on it.
However, trolls took to pulling his leg by saying he should worry more about the box office of his film as he has not been able to generate any buzz or excitement and is diverting people’s attention by bringing up piracy issues. Despite the trolls, the weightage of Aamir’s thought is resonating with creative people and fans as theft of a film or any art piece is a serious concern in this day and age.
