Social Media Responsible for Lack of New Talent?

Social Media Responsible for Lack of New Talent

On social media, what seems to be true is not always correct.

You might have been deceived many times by a person’s actual performance and their online personality. And the same case is with film stars.

While it is a great tool for actors to market themselves, they can also come off as excessive.

So, is social media making or breaking their image?

In the most recent case, debutant Veer Pahariya flooded everyone’s social media. His marketing was so excessive that he was everywhere. This ticked off fans and even made them start to dislike him.

Similarly, Sara Ali Khan portrayed herself to be excessively humble and down to earth on social media. Fans accused her of crafting a fake image of herself.

While actors who excessively promote their work on social media come off to be unserious about their work, one shouldn’t have such notions about them.

Because in the long run, it is only their work that is going to count.

For instance, Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan prefers to have a low-key life on social media. His debut film Maharaj was praised by many but his excessive promotion on social media for his latest film Loveyapa seems a little too much,

On the other hand, Black Warrant’s Zahan Kapoor is no less than a revelation. Despite carrying the Kapoor legacy, it was his amazing performance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s project that earned him the recognition he truly deserved.

While social media is a platform that can get you identified, it is not the trick for long-term success in the film industry. Artists must work hard if they want to get recognized.
